This Haitian Épis is a Haitian seasoning base packed with fresh flavors, easy to make, and perfect for marinade.

The Épis is the Haitian version of ‘salsa verde’. Very similar to Italian pesto, this green sauce is made of fresh vegetables, herbs and garlic cloves that can be a dressing for your favorite salad or a marinade for chicken, beef or seafood.
Here is what you need:

I don’t add seasoning salt, Maggi cubes or Better than Bouillon in my recipe. I find it easier this way to control the salt intake when used as a marinade in other recipes.
All of the ingredients are added to a blender to form the sauce.
